Also, I might start using the gym for showers more often. I mean, as long as I've already paid through the year and I'm not actually (heavens forfend) WORKING OUT there, I may as well get SOMETHING out of the deal.

The new generation of macs are so much better. I used macs from 1984 on, but eventually switched to a PC for various reasons. Then I got the new powerbook for my birthday, and there is nothing mediocre about that computer. The only thing it isn't good for is downloading music, which is risky right now anyway. But what I have done is kept my desktop PC and networked it to the mac so that I can download music to the PC and then network it over to my mac. Problem solved. However, itunes 4.0.1 won't allow file sharing between two computers that don't both have 4.0.1, so if you get the mac soon and keep refusing the upgrade, as I have done, that shouldn't be any trouble. The powerbook is an absolute dream and it is really really pretty because I too am that shallow.
