The thing is, I've never been able to keep an honest journal. When I write things offline, it's all fiction. Born in truth, perhaps, but fiction all the same. I guess it's because I always write thinking that someone will read it... which is why this kind of thing is an excellent vehicle for me... It indulges the quiet exhibitionist that lives inside of me.

I suppose you could call it control... re-directing my energies... from shovelling calories into my gaping maw to filling a book with slightly unhinged scribbles... Do you really have a similar book? And you go back after a time to scan it's pages? That takes courage, dollface... reading your own work after it's lost it's newly-minted feel. Alas, my own work tends to have a very brief shelf life...
